ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Hanna von Goeler received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of California, Davis. She completed additional post graduate study at the Jan van Eyck Academy in the Netherlands, a program which selects 25 participants annually from around the globe.

Her ongoing currency project was selected by Robert Storr (former curator at the Museum of Modern Art and curator of the 2007 Venice Biennale), to be shown at Exit Art in New York City. Her work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally, at venues such as Sloan Fine Art and The Habeas Lounge (arts World Financial Center) in New York City, The Museum of Arts and Crafts Itami in Japan, Galeria 2B in Budapest, Galería Ajolote Arte Contemporáneo in Guadalajara, Mexico, and Galerie Kurt im Hirsh in Berlin.

Currently, Hanna von Goeler's work can be seen at the Museum Bellrive in Zurich, Switzerland and at Hunter College's Times Square Gallery in NYC. A solo exhibition of her work is on view at the Hunterdon Art Museum in Clinton through March 21st, 2010.
